UPDATE: Authorities Discover Body of Missing Man Under Old Railroad Bridge in Sheffield

SHEFFIELD, Ala. - UPDATE: Investigators are searching a home in Florence right now they say was the last place Brioni Rutland was seen alive.

Police are at 117 East Hawthorne Street.  Rutland was found dead under the Old Railroad Bridge in Sheffield Friday afternoon.

The Tuscumbia police chief has confirmed to WHNT News 19 that the body discovered earlier on Friday under the Old Railroad Bridge in Sheffield is indeed that of 27-year-old Brioni Rutland.

Tuscumbia police began searching for Rutland on Wednesday. Police announced Rutland has been missing Nov. 26.  Police were able to locate some of his personal items, but were unable to find him.

Authorities have not yet confirmed if foul play is suspected.
