The Lawrence County Sheriff's Office says law enforcement made an arrest in a 2006 Moulton murder.

Investigators arrested 59-year-old Garry Ray Lindsey.  He's charged with the murder of Roy Oliver, who was found shot to death inside his Moulton home in February 2006.

According to Lawrence County Sheriff Gene Mitchell, investigators suspected Lindsey early on, but lacked evidence to make an arrest.  Lindsey lives in Florida, and investigators have worked closely with their counterparts there to help develop evidence and eventually take Lindsey into custody.

Michell says they will extradite Lindsey, who has no bond set at this time.

A release from the Lawrence County Sheriff's Office says they won't release specifics of the crime, but adds that Lindsey and Oliver had been friends for around 30 years at the time of the crime.
