Fire Destroys Apartment Complex In Courtland, Residents Safe

COURTLAND, Ala. (WHNT) – An apartment building burned Friday in Courtland.  Fortunately, everyone got out safely due to quick action by residents.

The fire, at Courtland Village Apartments on Water Street, started around 10 a.m. Eight to 10 units burned.  Several fire departments responded, including Courtland, North Courtland, Hillsboro and Town Creek.

Residents noticed the fire and knocked on doors to make sure everyone got out.
