Meet Pepper!  Pepper is an eight-year-old dachshund mix that was dumped at a high-kill shelter because her owners thought she was old.

While Pepper may have a gray muzzle, she still has many years remaining as a loving, healthy, well-trained companion.

Pepper loves people and other dogs her size and close to her age.  She will do best with children over 10.

Pepper loves to be a lap dog but is quite content to sleep in her bed at night as long as she has a blanket to cover her.  She also needs a fenced-in backyard so she can roam around and enjoy the nice weather.

She is house-trained and crate-trained but does not need to be in a crate unless goodies are left on the coffee table.

Pepper would love to find a fur-ever home and enjoy this Thanksgiving with her new family
