LAWRENCE COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) – An 18-wheeler has overturned on Highway 33.  The scene is north of Moulton, toward Courtland.  The road is still blocked, as of 11:40 a.m. Monday.

Earlier in the day, around 9:30 a.m., the truck was headed north on Highway 33 between Courtland and Moulton.  The driver went around a sharp curve, lost control and flipped the truck on its side.

The truck spilled its load of wood chips and came to rest against a power pole.  Diesel fuel also leaked from the truck, so the Lawrence County Emergency Management Agency is on the scene to help with the spill.

The driver had minor injuries.

Alabama State Troopers are investigating the wreck.

My money is on SPEED TOO FAST FOR CONDITION! Entered the curve at a speed too fast for that particular truck and load, even if he was at a speed that was not higher than what was posted.
