ALBERTVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) - Police in Albertville say they have captured two escapees from a Decatur Community Corrections facility.

The two men, David Hopkins and Michael Worsham, were caught shortly after 2:30 p.m. on Cahill off West Main Street in Albertville.

Police say they were caught after a short foot chase.

The Alabama Department of Corrections says Hopkins and Worsham escaped from the Decatur Community Based Facility late Wednesday night.  Prison officials say the two were missing during a roster count around 10 p.m.

Hopkins was sentenced in Madison County in 1997, and is serving a life sentence for theft.

Worsham was sentenced in Marshall County in 2006, and is serving a 20-year sentence for forgery.

This is the second escape incident reported from the Decatur work release facility this month. 22-year-old Cody Wade Snelling failed to return to work release.  He was recaptured a week later. Snelling is serving a sentence for burglary in Calhoun County. Officials say he was to be released next month.
