UPDATE: Missing Morgan County Teen Located

MORGAN COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) — The Morgan County teen that went missing over the weekend has been located, according to Morgan County Sheriff Ana Franklin.  Franklin says she is safe.MISSING

Officials say Kaitlyn Dempsy went missing around 5:30 p.m. Sunday.  Search and rescue teams from Morgan County began looking for the missing 13-year-old, but suspended the search, believing her to have run away from home.  Officials believed Dempsy was staying with a family member.

Search crews spent several hours scouring the area with search dogs before suspending their search around 2:15 Monday morning.

Morgan County Rescue Squad, Oden Ridge Fire Department, Flint and Florette Fire participated in the search.
