Suspect Sought in Florence Robbery

FLORENCE, Ala. (WHNT) - Investigators continue to try and develop leads in the case of an armed robbery this past weekend.

Florence Police hope the public can help them track down the suspect by taking a look at some surveillance pictures.

Investigators said the robbery happened early Sunday morning at the MAPCO convenience store on the corner of Helton Drive and Rickwood Road.

According to police, the man walked into the store, pulled a gun and forced the clerk back into the cage behind the cash register.

Investigators said the robber took off on foot once he got the money he wanted.

Those working the case believes someone will recognize the man in the photo.
