TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WHNT)-- The Alabama Crimson Tide were right where everyone expected them to be when the first BCS standings of the season were released Sunday night.

The undefeated Tide came in at number one.

The Auburn Tigers were just outside the top ten at number 11.  The Tigers started the season unranked in either the AP or Coaches polls, but have moved steadily higher.  The Tigers upset Texas A&M Saturday.

Some were surprised at the number two spot.  While Oregon is number two in both the AP and Coaches polls, the Ducks are number three in the BCS.   The second spot is held by Florida State after the drubbing of Clemson on Saturday.

    Back to the BCS-

Surprised to see FSU as #2. The last couple of years they have gotten in to the top ten only to lose to North Carolina. They are enjoyable to watch, but don’t think they can overcome being located East of the Mississippi. We’ll see.
