HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) - Downtown Huntsville, Inc. now oversees most of the downtown revitalization duties previously handled by the Big Spring Partners organization.

Downtown Huntsville Inc. has already seen great success with initiatives like “Propst Arena Pro Football Sundays”, the late-night food truck movement including the inaugural downtown street food gathering, and a pop-up park competition coming to the streets of downtown later this month.

But it's time for Huntsville's top business minds who form the new nonprofit organization to be known by more than name and precedent, says CEO Chad Emerson.

"We're super excited on Halloween night on Washington Avenue in the Belk Hudson Lofts lobby Downtown Huntsville, Inc. is going to release our official brand; the logo, the website will go live, we're going to have a special promo video, all the Facebook pages and Twitter accounts will go live that day," explains Emerson.

"It's going to be a special evening, Halloween is always a crazy night and we're going to have a couple crazy things going in - all very family friendly and safe but I think you may see a couple things on Washington Avenue you've never seen before."

The free Halloween night Event kicks off Thursday October 31st on the ground floor of the Belk Hudson Lofts on Washington Avenue at 6:00 p. m.

Again this non-profit organization is for & about & of the Downtown busniess owners for prompting their onw profit making businesses as the decline of personal spending continues in the City of Huntsville with the Federal-based spending here is being reduced steadily.
