Update: Huntsville Police Identify Woman Killed by Train

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — Police have identified the woman was hit by a train late Sunday night.

Christine Suzanne Ray Ramsey died when she was hit by the train near Triana Boulevard and I-565.  Police say the woman is also known as Christine Suzanne Ray Anderson.  She was 40, and lived in Huntsville.

Police say this appears to have been an accident, but continue their investigation.

The incident happened around 10 p.m. Sunday.  Ramsey was walking on tracks when she was hit.  Police say the engineer stopped the train and called 911.

Residents in the area tell WHNT News 19 they didn’t hear or see anything unusual before the crash.
