Huntsville Drug Take Back Event October 12

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – The Partnership for a Drug-Free Community, the CIty of Huntsville, Huntsville Police, Madison Police, Madison County Sheriff’s Department, Operation Green Team, and several other agencies are hosting a Drug Take Back event scheduled for October 12.

Anyone can drop off their unused, unlabeled medications on Saturday, October 12 from 9 am – 12 pm at the Huntsville Jaycee Building, located at 2180 Airport road in Huntsville; the Flint River Baptist Church, located at 12945 WWY 231 North in Hazel Green; and the Madison City Hall, located at 100 Hughes Road in Madison.

This program in completely confidential.  No personal information will be collected.  It is asked that you remove or black our all labels before arriving!

This event cites the nationally growing epidemic of teenage prescription drug abuse and the possible contamination of our water supply from unused drugs being flushed down the drain as as goals for the campaign.

The drugs turned in will be safely disposed of.
