HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Huntsville police say a 21-year-old man was injured in a drive by shooting on Evans Avenue on Friday afternoon.

A witness at the scene told WHNT that this was a drive-by shooting  According to the witness, a person was walking down the street when a car drove by and shot that person.

Police report that 21-year-old Pierre Seay was on Evans Ave when a black Chevrolet Impala pulled up to him.  The driver of the Impala began arguing with Seay about a prior argument with the driver’s children’s mother.

The driver of the Impala had a pistol in his hand, according to police reports.  Seay attempted to grab the gun from the driver when the gun fired twice, striking Seay once in the leg and once in the foot.

The driver fled the scene.
