Man Accused of Trying to Lure Girl Walking to Bus Stop in Madison

MADISON, Ala. (WHNT) – Madison Police say they have arrested a man who tried to lure a 12-year-old girl while she was walking to her bus stop Thursday morning.

The man, 26-year-old Lorenzo Jiminez of Huntsville, is in the Madison County Jail.  He is charged with enticing a child for immoral purposes and is being held on a $2,500 bond.

Police say they were called to Michael Avenue around 7:30 a.m. Thursday.  The suspect reportedly followed her in his vehicle as she walked.  The girl got to her bus, got on board and told the bus driver, who immediately called police.

Police stopped Jiminez on Michael Avenue and took him in for questioning, then charged him.
