MADISON COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) – Good news for people who drive on Homer Nance Road in northeast Madison County.  A project to improve the road is now finished.

The road opened to drivers on Friday, just three days before school begins.  The project was near Mt. Carmel and Riverton schools.

Madison County District One Commissioner Roger Jones says crews put the finishing touches on the road this week.
