HAZEL GREEN, AL-Hazel Green was one of the best football teams from North Alabama not to make the playoffs last season. 7-3 was good enough for most teams, but not the Trojans. They were left out thanks to a tie breaker.

The team wants to go further in 2013, and prove that last year's tie breaker should have never happened. Hazel Green has had just one week off since beating Huntsville last November, and since then it's been all about the grind. Running, weigh-lifting, even yoga. These Trojans are doing whatever it takes.

Hazel Green lost Safety Austin Dempsey to graduate, but has a veteran returning on the offense in Running Back Joe Ewing. The Trojans open the season August 29 on the road at Grissom.
