MADISON, Ala. (WHNT) - Madison Mayor Troy Trulock is our guest for this segment of Leadership Perspectives.

In this part of the interview, he talks about his coaching experience in the city.  Trulock just coached his 70th team in Madison.  That's how Paul Finley and Troy Trulock first met, coaching baseball.

Trulock talks about why he and his family decided to make Madison their home after he retired from the military.

"This is the best place we've ever lived," Trulock said.

He complimented local elected leaders for working together, starting from the city council to the county commission, state, all the way to Congress.

"We all get in the same boat to support economic development." said Trulock.  "It's all about teamwork and working and rolling in the same direction."

On the campaign trail, Trulock said the number one thing he heard from citizens was which road projects should get priority.  He says projects on Gooch Lane and Eastview Drive are complete, improvements are underway for Old Madison Pike, and County Line Road is next on the list.
