UNA Named One of the Best in National Survey

FLORENCE, Ala. (WHNT) – The University of North Alabama shared an announcement Monday morning, recognizing them as an elite college for its employees.

The Chronicle of Higher Learning named UNA one of America`s “Best Colleges to Work For in 2013”.

According to the publication, UNA earned high marks in five categories; governance, confidence in leadership, job satisfaction, career development and work-life balance.

“To be recognized for what this community already knew,” stated University President William Cale. “This is a great place, a great institution of higher learning, and to be formally recognized as one of the best in the country is extremely rewarding for all of us who work here.”

The Chronicle also emphasized UNA’s commitment to the development of writing skills among students as well as its faculty, with the Center for Writing Excellence.

Other colleges recognized in the survey include USC, Duke, Stanford and Notre Dame.
