MARSHALL COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) – Marshall County Sheriff Scott Walls says several minors got in trouble this weekend during an afternoon of drinking.

On Saturday, several agencies arrested six minors who were under the influence of alcoholic beverages.  Three others who were under 18 were held and released to their parents, and one was charged with littering.

Marshall County Sheriff’s deputies, Alabama Marine Police, Alabama Game and Fish, and ABC Agents teamed up for the arrests.

Sheriff Walls said the agencies were responding to complaints about underage drinking at a sand bar near Val Monte.

All were taken to the Marshall County Jail where they later posted bond.
