UPDATE: Huntsville Police Make Second Arrest In Murder Case

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) - Huntsville Police have made a second arrest linked to a homicide investigation, according to HPD sources.

Officers arrested 50-year-old Michael Pierce Friday and charged him with Capital Murder Friday afternoon.

Huntsville Police confirm the arrest is the second linked to the murder of Charles Swinford, 64, of Huntsville.

WHNT News 19 was the only television station at the Madison County Jail Friday when Pierce arrived to be booked into the jail.

Huntsville Police already have Michael Shawn Pierce Fletcher, 25, of Hazel Green, in custody facing  capital murder charge in the same shooting death.

The shooting happened just after 9:00 p.m. on May 15 in a mobile home community.

Fletcher is currently being held in the Madison County Metro Jail without bond.
