Burglary Suspects Found

MADISON COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) - Madison County deputies may be one step closer to ending a string of burglaries.

At about 3 a.m. Thursday, Mapco on the corner of Jeff and Capshaw Roads was burglarized. The front door was smashed in. Deputies responding saw a white four-door pickup truck matching the description of the vehicle wanted in a string of burglaries in the last week.

Deputies followed the truck all the way to Winchester and Blue Spring Roads. The driver of the truck pulled into the Wilshire Park Apartments, The two men got out and ran into the woods.

Huntsville police and Madison County deputies set up a perimeter around the area. They brought in a K9 team to search the woods.

One person was found and is being taken in for questioning.

The pickup truck recovered is the one that was stolen from the Madison County District 4 shed.
