Huntsville Police Investigating Braham Avenue Shooting

Shooting Investigation at the Intersection of Hall Avenue and Stokes Street

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Huntsville Police have two suspects in custody in connection with a shooting at the 2300 Braham Avenue.

Police responded to the shooting call around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.

Officers say they were patrolling in the area when they heard gunshots. They responded to the scene where they began a short pursuit with a silver car with two men inside.

Police say they chase only last a few minutes and ended several blocks away from the shooting scene. Two men were taken into custody and a handgun was recovered at the scene.

HEMSI transported one of the suspects from the scene following the pursuit and WHNT News 19 has learned the shooting victim suffered non life-threatening injuries to her leg.

The investigation into the shooting is still on-going and no word on the identities of those involved at this time.
