HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — Huntsville Police responded to a home invasion late Saturday night.

Officers were called to the 3700 block of Fairview Street just before 11:15 p.m.

The victim told police that two men forced their way inside his home carrying a rifle. Police say that while the victim fought with one offender, the other ran off. They say the victim was then able to get the rifle away from his would-be attacker, and that offender took off running as well.
