Mary Scott Hunter Still Considering Run for Governor

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) - Mary Scott Hunter is considering a run for Alabama's top office.

Hunter has not made an official announcement yet, but says she is considering a run for governor.  She says high-ranking people in the Alabama Republican Party have approached her about running in 2014.

Hunter, a Republican, currently represents District 8 on the State Board of Education.

Governor Robert Bentley, also a Republican, is planning to run for re-election.  No other candidates have officially entered the race yet.
