MORGAN COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) - Volunteer firefighters in Morgan County battled a huge house fire Monday night.

Just before 11 p.m., volunteer crews from Tri-County, Rock Creek and Florette were called to a house on fire in the 500-block of Double S Mountain Road in Morgan County.

Firefighters had to deploy what looks like a pool to fill and ferry water more than three miles to battle the blaze.

The home was a total loss. It was unoccupied.
