Hit and Run Suspect Leads Police on Chase

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – A hit and run suspect led police on a chase across Huntsville, according to police.

Police say the hit and run originally happened on University Dr and Boardwalk.  The driver, in a green Chevrolet pickup truck, hit two cars and kept driving.

Police were able to catch up to the driver at the intersection of I-565 and Jordan Ln.  They chased the driver, who has two flat tires as a result of the accident, all the way to Old Madison Pike.

Police do not believe alcohol to be a factor in this hit and run.  A middle aged man, police suspect the driver to be suffering from a medical condition.

The driver was transported to Huntsville Hospital.  Charges will be pending when he is released.
