Florence Police Arrest Stabbing Suspect

FLORENCE, Ala. (WHNT) — Florence Police have arrested a stabbing suspect.  Kevin James Goins, 28, is charged with 1st degree assault.  Goins is accused of stabbing a man early Friday morning at a home on Hermitage Drive.

The male victim’s name has not been released.  He is in ECM Hospital receiving treatment, and his condition is not known.

According to police, Goins fled the scene following the incident.  He was arrested a short time later by the Florence PD K9 Unit.

Additional charges are pending.
