LIMESTONE COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) — A one vehicle wreck happened Saturday evening in Limestone County. Although only one vehicle was involved, there were five people inside of it.

Alabama State troopers say five members of the Clark family, from Louisville, Kentucky, were in the Chevy SUV. 42-year-old Lea Clark was the driver.  Passengers were Michael, 44; Brittany, 17; Brooklyn, 6; and Jackson, 16.

The wreck happened around 6:00 p.m. on the north bound lane of I-65, just south of the Huntsville Browns Ferry exit.

The SUV apparently lost control, after state troopers say a rear tire may have blown. We’re told one person was thrown from the vehicle, and others were trapped inside. Emergency crews used the jaws of life to get them out.

One person was air-lifted to Huntsville Hospital. The other four were taken by ambulance. State Troopers say all five are in stable condition.

North bound traffic was backed up for several miles.
