DEKALB COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) --The family of 16-year-old Jeremiah Sharrow says they have found the missing teen.

Sharrow had been missing since Friday night after he got in a traffic wreck when leaving a friend's house.  Zola Sharrow, Jeremiah's mom, says a witness told her he seemed to be in shock after the wreck, and ran off.

Search teams found Sharrow huddled in a closet in the family's RV. They were unsure how long he had been there, but say he was severely dehydrated. Sharrow was taken to DeKalb Baptist Medical Center to be checked for further injuries.

His family believes Sharrow ran and hid because he was frightened he may have hurt someone in the wreck.

Volunteer K-9 search and rescue team SARTECH from Madison County helped in the search.
