LACEY’S SPRING, Ala. (WHNT) – A Morgan County grand jury has indicted a man for the murder his ex-wife.

Rodney David Hagood, of 496 River Loop Road, is in custody at the Morgan County Jail.  He is being held on $200,000 bond.

His ex-wife, Stacy Edwards Hagood, was found dead the morning of February 14, Valentine’s Day, at the couple’s home.  That was their wedding anniversary.

Investigators say the couple had a history of domestic violence, and sheriff’s deputies had been called to the home several times.  The most recent call was two days before, February 12.

Rodney Hagood was initially charged with manslaughter, but the grand jury issued a murder indictment after reviewing the case this month.

Investigators haven’t said how Stacy Hagood died.
