Brewers Send Jimmy Nelson Out Of Huntsville

Huntsville, Ala. – On Wednesday, Stars RHP Jimmy Nelson was promoted to Triple-A Nashville on his 24th birthday.

The Brewers 8th ranked prospect (per had a 5-4 record with Huntsville in 12 games started this season, leading the Southern League in strikeouts (72) and the Stars in ERA (2.74) prior to his promotion.
Due to unplayable field conditions at Joe Davis Stadium, the Huntsville Stars game with the Birmingham Barons on Wednesday night was postponed.
The two teams will play a series-ending doubleheader at The Joe on Thursday night starting at 4:43 CT.
Following the conclusion of Thursday’s doubleheader, the Stars will hit the road to start a five-game series at Riverwalk Stadium against the Montgomery Biscuits on Friday. First pitch is at 7:05 CT.
