SPRUCE PINE, Ala. (WHNT) - Federal agents swarmed a tax office in Franklin County on Tuesday, arresting some of the employees.

Agents with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security confiscated evidence from J.B. Tax Service on County Road 22 in Spruce Pine.  They arrested some people, but did not specify how many.  They said more arrests are likely.

Agents indicated they have been investigating the office for quite some time and finally moved in.

The Franklin County District Attorney's office is also involved in the case.

Residents say J.B. Tax Service has been located there for approximately five years.

Officials plan to release more information in a day or two.
