HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – The Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals has denied Amy Bishop’s application for a rehearing.

The UAH shooter was appealing the court’s recent decision to uphold her conviction.  On April 26, the court affirmed Bishop’s guilty plea and sentence following a plea agreement in Madison County Circuit Court.

Bishop pleaded guilty to capital murder in the February 2010 shootings at UAHuntsville.  However, she later appealed her guilty plea.

Bishop shot six colleagues, killing three.  She is in Tutwiler Prison serving life without parole.

Ron Smith, who is Bishop’s attorney, said the next step would be to appeal to the Alabama Supreme Court.
