ALBERTVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – A traffic accident has claimed the life of one person and sent two others to the hospital.

According to the Marshall County Coroner, the accident occurred at the intersection of Highway 431 and Rose Road at approximately 7:15 p.m.  A Ford F-150 truck collided with a Mercury Sable.

Police say Jamie Lynn Baggett, 27, of Albertville was driving the truck.  Bobby Wayne Chamblee, 65, of Guntersville was driving the car.

Police say Chamblee was driving on Rose Road and had stopped at the traffic light at the intersection of Highway 431.  Baggett was headed north on 431.  Police say preliminary investigation indicates the sun was blinding Baggett, and she wasn’t able to see the traffic signal.  She hit Chamblee as he was crossing 431.

Chamblee died at the scene.  Baggett wasn’t hurt, nor was her passenger.

Police say no charges are expected to be filed at this time.
