LIMESTONE COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) – A man trapped in his truck for possibly up to three days is still in serious condition at Huntsville Hospital.

Michael Worthy, 54, is in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit after having surgery.  He had an accident over the weekend and was trapped in his truck under a small bridge for at least one night, and possibly up to three days.

Worthy veered off Love Branch Road in his Ford Ranger and landed under a bridge which leads to a field.  He was alert when he was found Tuesday morning, and told authorities say he had possibly been there since Saturday or Sunday.  However, a family member told WHNT News 19 that he talked to Worthy on Monday afternoon.

An official from the Limestone County Correctional Facility spotted Worthy’s truck on Tuesday morning and called for help.
