Westboro Baptist Church to Protest at UA Campus

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Westboro Baptist Church plans to picket and protest at the University of Alabama on May 18.

According to their website, “Westboro Baptist Church will picket the University of Alabama to remind them of the wrath of God that visited them two years ago, wherein they did not have finals, and their graduation exercises were cancelled.”

53 people were killed in Tuscaloosa when twisters claimed more than 250 lives across the state on April 27, 2011.

The WBC is planning a tour of the South beginning on May 17, picketing such places as: Graceland, Tenn., The University of Mississippi, New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in Lithonia, Ga., Morehouse College in Atlanta , Ga., and several churches in Florida.
