U.S. Military Aircraft Crashes in Kyrgyzstan

KYRGYZSTAN (WHNT) — An American refueling plane that took off in Kyrgyzstan crashed in a mountainous region Friday, according to a Kyrgyz official.

The U.S. Military aircraft was reported missing earlier during the day. The plane was from the Manas Airport in Kyrgyzstan, according to the nation’s Transport Ministry Press Secretary. A section of the airport is a U.S. airbase that serves as a supply hub for American forces in Afghanistan.

Five people were on board the plane. There is no information yet about injuries.
