Huntsville, Ala. (WHNT) - The Chargers' power-hitting numbers are some of the best in the Gulf South Conference. They have the top slugging percentage, the most triples and the second-most home runs in the league.
But UAH says power hitting is now what will win them the conference tournament title.
"We play our best game when we bunt a little bit, we get on base and we run, we stole 100 bases I believe, maybe more than that so that's our game, getting on and putting pressure on people and that's what we gotta do to win," said Hunter Royer, UAH head coach.
"Here comes some good pitching near the end of the year and the games will be closer so small ball will be key for sure," said Chandler Brock, UAH outfielder.
UAH will take on West Georgia at high noon central time Thursday in Chattanooga.
