Police Arrest Two and Seize Over $100,000 of Marijuana

50 marijuana plants seized by authorities.

ARDMORE, Ala. (WHNT) – The Limestone County Sheriff’s Office and Huntsville narcotics investigators executed a search at a residence on Hwy. 251 in Ardmore, AL following numerous complaints received regarding the growing and selling of marijuana.

Upon arrival, the officers detected the strong odor of marijuana coming from the property. The officers also observed marijuana and paraphernalia in plain view.

The search resulted in the seizure of 50 plants growing in a shed on the property near the residence. Several items of paraphernalia were seized, such as high wattage grow-lights, fans, heaters, fertilizer, pipes, and pots.

The street value of the items seized is over $100,000. The joint investigation between the two agencies is continuing.

Resident Darlene Crane, age 55, was arrested for trafficking marijuana and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and remains in the Limestone County Jail.

Richard Anthony Hairr, age 60, suffered a bout with high blood pressure during the search and was transported to the emergency room by ambulance. He has since been transported to the Limestone County Jail and formally charged with trafficking marijuana and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia
