Huntsville, Ala. - The Lady Chargers have not won a GSC Tournament title since 2008.  Even though they have won the south region twice and made it to the national championship game twice, they have had recent troubles in this particular tournament.

If UAH does change that trend this year, it might be because of its pitching.  This season, the blue and white is second-best in the league in ERA and they're averaging more than four strikeouts a game.

Whitney Toler has been a stellar pitcher for us for three years and having Kim to be able to come in and close games and get through the last three innings, has been phenomenal in the conference," said Les Studeman, UAH head coach.  "[She] has probably been the number one reason why we're number-one going into the tournament."
