Job Description

Bill Penney Toyota is seeking a well qualified New Vehicle Sales Manager/Director.  Bill Penney Toyota is a third generation, family owned and operated Automobile Dealership located in Huntsville, AL. In October, 2012, we celebrated our 45th Anniversary as the oldest family owned Toyota dealership in Alabama.  We have an enthusiastic sales team committed to providing our customers with a positive experience in the selection and purchasing processes for their new vehicle.

Qualified candidates must have an ability to lead all activities of the new vehicle sales department, including the maintaining of market sales penetration, personnel levels and inventory activities.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Develop, monitor and maintain the Dealership’s sales system consistent with the philosophy of the General ManagerHire, train, develop and retain sales team associates who meet the dealership’s standard of performance.  Effectively communicate with sales associates on all matters, clear and open communication between the sales managers and the sales associates.  Ensure that the dealership is optimizing its gross profit potential while maintaining a high CSI rating in all areas.  Maintain and merchandise proper mix of new cars and trucks and maintain an adequate used vehicle turn rate.  Help develop focused sales promotions to increase new vehicle sales based on factory incentives, special purchases or seasonal changes.  Create and maintain good working relationships within all departments of the dealership
Additional Skills and Experiences
Accountability for activities and goals of sales associates. Conflict resolution skills to assist sales associates in resolving problems with sales as well as handling internal conflicts that impact department performance.  Track record showing ability to establish and maintain a customer retention program for sales associates.  Team Building Skills Ability to problem solve with dealership’s philosophy in mind.  Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skillsIntegrity based thinking and actions.  Proven Leader.
