Kids to Love has partnered with famed filmmaker Ron Maxwell to give you a one-of-a-kind music and movie premiere. The “Redheads and Copperheads” event will be held May 7, 2013 at Monaco Pictures, located at Bridge Street Towne Centre. The event will debut the first-ever music video by Lee Marshall, president and founder of Kids to Love.
Marshall’s video “You Rescued Me” depicts her testimony as her birth mother chose adoption, and how that choice answered the prayer for a child for her parents. Marshall co-wrote the song with Shoals Songwriter/Producer Michael A. Curtis.  “You Rescued Me” debuted on Lee’s CD titled “Anchored.”
Attendees will see snapshots of current and historical Hollywood during the video for “You Rescued Me.” It was filmed in Los Angeles on the same CBS backlot as CSI: New York. You may notice another familiar backdrop during the video. Some scenes were filmed outside the house used in the nostalgic sitcom “Leave it to Beaver.”

Marshall’s deeply personal story will be followed by Maxwell’s newest Civil War masterpiece, “Copperhead.” The movie gets its title from the slang term given to northerners who opposed the Civil War in favor of making peace with the Confederate states. “Copperhead” depicts an upstate New York family torn apart by war. Based on true events, it is considered the great untold Civil War story. Maxwell is best known as the director of two other acclaimed Civil War pieces: “Gods and Generals” and “Gettysburg.”

General admission tickets are $25.00.  VIP Tickets with Prive seating and a meet & greet reception with Marshall & Maxwell are $50.00 and can be purchased through Kids to Love by clicking here.

Proceeds will benefit Kids to Love, a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation whose mission is to meet the immediate needs of foster children.
Whether you’re a Civil War and movie buff or a fan and friend of Lee Marshall, this is a night you do not want to miss!
