Lion Baseball Downs Trevecca 10-2

Nashville, Tenn. – Riley Sanderson gave a solid starting performance and the North Alabama hitters scored 10 runs on 15 hits as the Lions downed Trevecca Nazarene 10-2.

UNA took the lead in the second inning and never relinquished it as the Lions picked up their second consecutive win.

UNA led 2-1 after two innings, then added two runs in the third, one in the fifth, three in the seventh and two in the ninth for the win.

Sanderson (2-1) got the win, allowing two runs on two hits in six and 1/3 innings. Eric Wilson pitched  1 2/3 scoreless innings of relief and Ben Seabrook pitched a scoreless ninth.

Will Dennis led the Lions at the plate, going four-for-four with three runs scored and three runs batted in. Bradley Noland was three-for-five with three runs scored and Josh Carpenter, Josh Cyr and Jake Ward added two hits each.

UNA (15-13) plays at Alabama A&M Wednesday afternoon.
