BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WHNT) – The FBI – Birmingham Citizens Academy Alumni Association has opened a fund for the family of Luke Bresette at all area branches of Cadence Bank.

Bresette died after a sign, weighing somewhere between three and four hundred pounds, fell on top of him, two of his brothers, and his mother.

The Alumni Association established the Bresette Family Benefit Fund Monday. Luke’s father Ryan is a graduate of the FBI Citizens Academy.

“I am grateful for these citizens coming together to help this family. This terrible tragedy has deeply saddened us all and I am proud that we have good men and women in this community who will stand in the gap as we wait on answers from the Airport Authority,” said Mayor William Bell.
