Huntsville Faces Cleveland Next In Bid To Host Social Media Tourism Symposium

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Great news!  Your votes helped Huntsville advance to the Final Four competition to host a Social Media Tourism Symposium.  The Rocket City beat Indianapolis by a large margin on Thursday.

Huntsville beat Indianapolis in the Elite Eight by a total of 4863 votes to 988.  Huntsville is now in the Final Four with Branson, Missouri, Cleveland, Ohio, and Missoula, Montana.


Next week, Branson and Missoula face off on Tuesday.  Huntsville and Cleveland go head-to-head on Thursday.  Vote here between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. central time that day.

“The Huntsville/Madison County Convention & Visitors Bureau would like to thank everyone for voting Huntsville,” said Jessica Carlton, Marketing Manager.  “We encourage the community to do it again Thursday, March 28th!”

Judy Ryals, President/CEO of the Huntsville/Madison County Convention & Visitors Bureau, estimates the Social Media Tourism Symposium would bring close to $180,000 in direct spending to Madison County
