HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – A Huntsville man charged with the shooting death of a 17-year-old during an apparent brawl near a Huntsville nightclub will go on trial for murder Wednesday.

Steven Craig Seay, 24, is charged with killing James Price, 17, outside Club Infinity in Huntsville off Space Gate Drive on June 27, 2010.

Price was reportedly shot once in the head after an altercation between two groups of men.

Retired Madison County Circuit Judge Jim Smith, who is presiding over the trial, ruled Tuesday that statements Seay made to police following the shooting can be admitted into evidence.

Seay is being prosecuted by Madison County Assistant District Attorney Bill Starnes. He is represented by Huntsville attorney Russell Crumbley.

The trial is set to begin in Judge Donna Pate’s courtroom on the 8th floor of the Madison County Courthouse.
