Husband and Wife Killed On Motorcycle In Lawrenceburg, TN

LAWRENCEBURG, Tenn. (WHNT) – A married couple died Sunday after a vehicle hit the motorcycle they were riding.

The wreck happened in Lawrenceburg, in the eastbound lane of Highway 64 just east of Ezell Drive, near David Crockett State Park. This was on Sunday about 5:30 p.m.

Lawrenceburg Police Assistant Chief Daren Goolsby said Clyde and Willodean Newton died when an SUV hit their Harley Davidson motorcycle from behind.  Clyde was 66 and Willodean was 62.  Both lived in Lawrence County.

Asst. Chief Goolsby said Misti Risner, 35, of Lawrenceburg was driving the SUV.   She was flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.

Two people in the westbound vehicle hit head-on were taken to Crockett Hospital in Lawrenceburg and later released.  Police identify them as Sarah Wiser, 18, and Adam Wiser, 21, both of Taft.
