Update: Troopers Identify Man Hit By Car In Guntersville

GUNTERSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT)-  Alabama State Troopers have identified the man hit by a vehicle Saturday night on Highway 79 North in Guntersville.

The man was Keith Willoughby, 45, of Madison.

The impact from the vehicle caused Willoughby to be thrown into the water.

The incident happened just after 9 p.m. Saturday.  The Waterfront Fire Department, Guntersville Rescue Squad and troopers responded to the scene.

Crews found Willoughby’s body just before 12 p.m. Sunday.  Troopers have not made an arrest yet.

It’s not known if Willoughby died from the crash or if he drowned.
