Birmingham, Ala. (WHNT) - In their quest for a tenth state championship, the Lauderdale County girls sent a loud message to the rest of the state that they do not want to be denied.

The message began with a 10-0 run, with Ivy Wallen scoring and drawing a foul during the stretch.  It ended with the Lady Tigers beating Midfield 71-50.

Chatara Cox finished with 18 points while Ivy Wallen had 16.  Lauderdale County will face Holly Pond at 9:00 AM Saturday for the 3A state title.
