MADISON, Ala. (WHNT) - Some Madison families hosted 25 students from Korea over the first weekend of February.

The kids went to Space Camp at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center.  Monday, they visited Bob Jones High School and James Clemens High School in Madison.

The students are part of the elite global leadership program AKEEP.

From Madison, they traveled to Birmingham, Montgomery, Mobile and Auburn University where they'll get a look at various school programs.

"This is a very good opportunity to promote Alabama to Korea and Korean students are having a wonderful opportunity to learn about Alabama and schools, high schools and colleges and as a cultural exchange as well," said Meeson Han, AKEEP Co-Founder.

As part of the educational exchange program, several students from Alabama will visit Korea during the summer.
